My fitness experience is varied and represents openness and ability to adapt to any environment. I have been involved in weight training techniques since I was a teenager training in track and field. This experience was further refined during my collegiate training as a sprinter ain college and as a part time personal trainer while serving in the U.S. Army. I began to explore yoga as part of my personal fitness regimen after suffering several injuries, including a herniated disc. I decided to further my understanding of yoga by completing my yoga teacher training. I am also a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I have held previous certifications through the Cooper Fitness Institute and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) in The Biomechanics of Resistance Training and Group Exercise Instructor, respectively.
