Lisa McDonald, RYT 200, started her journey into Yoga after a series of stress-related anxieties started to surface causing physical pain and injury. Lisa started her first class at her gym, continued through a yoga studio and decided to take her journey to another level. She studied under Edely Wallace of Yoga Matrix in Orlando and became a 200 hour certified instructor. Lisa specializes in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Gentle Yoga as well as meditation techniques and Vinyasa Flow classes. Lisa has taught at a few studios in Seminole County and continues to open her heart to the community for the physical and mental balance of yoga. Lisa continues her journey through continuing education, offering workshops and private lessons. Lisa strives to bring laughter into class, allowing students to relax and enjoy their experience without judgement.
Lisa is also a freelance writer, having completed her book "It's Okay to Breathe" while currently employed at WKMG Local 6 News. She has also attended master classes with Mukti Buck, a Vinyasa master class with Tymi Howard, Kirtan with Krishna Das and continues her education. Lisa has studied Core Yoga techniques with Christopher Baxter and is certified by the Yoga Bala in Yoga Nidra and Meditation. She also enjoys incorporating Kundalini breathing and meditation into her classes for a full yoga experience. Lisa has studied chakra energizing and chanting in a four part, month-long series with the Baghavan Das. Lisa has been teaching yoga since 2009 and is always finding ways to expand her knowledge and pass that experience on to her students.
