I met my first personal trainer at the age of 15 and fell in love with training ever since. The idea of having complete control over changing physical aspects of oneself is what first drew me in. It was not until I was able to fully realize the effects that training has over ones mental and emotional state, thus leading to a better overall health and lifestyle, that I really became consumed with helping others through fitness and better life choices. At a young age training taught me the value and appreciation of hard work, and that nothing good in life comes easy. Those lessons followed me throughout life. Whether it be in the class room, football field, basketball court, or in the office, hard work pays off and that only we are can change our circumstances.
I grew up in Memphis Tennessee, graduated from the University of Tennesse in Knoxville in 2009 with a Business of Sciences degree in Communcation Studies. After college I received my real-estate license and practiced real-estate while earning my CPT from NASM. I then moved to Los Angeles to pursue personal trainging. In LA I was able to earn three more certifications while working full time at 24 Hour Fitness at the Beverly Hills location.
After working for 24 Hour Fitness I learned that group training and private lessons were really my specialites due to my ability stay engaged and keep sessions fun and interesting! There is nothing worse then having clients not looking forward to their session or counting down the minutes until it is over. I've found that engaging clients during workouts, lightening the mood, and motivating them is the best way to ensure every session is fun and effective!
