Laurie Blumenthal

     I am a true fitness entusiast!  I chose to turn my passion into a career after the birth of my third child.

     Growing up, I was a very active, a natural athlete.  I was on both gymnastics and dance teams through high school.

     During my senior year of college my father passed away from a heart attack unexpectedly at the age of 48.  The tragedy of his death confirmed my belief that living a healthy lifestyle was essential.  I continued to exercise regularly throughout college.  Running and aroebic classes became a necessary part of my day. I took a nutrition class and began to eat healthier as well.

    After graduating from college I began my carreer in the financial industry.  Working as an accountant before becoming a mortgage specialist, while still maintaining a regular fitness routine. 

    I married my college boyfriend and had kids.  After my second child I stopped working and focused on raising my children. I never stopped exercising and even continued a modified program while pregnant.  After the birth of my third child, I decided I wanted to do something rewarding with my life and felt that becoming a fitness professional was a natural choice.

  I chose to pursue a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  I was very impressed with their philosophy on fitness as well as their esteemed reputation in the industry.  

   I love my job!  Everyday I look forward to seeing my clients and watching them progress.  There is nothing more rewarding then watching the joy a person feels when they have accomplished their goals. Whether it is weight loss, building muscle, gaining strength or even just trying to get more energy, the end result is always positive.  

  My clients range in age from 30-80.  Each person has different abilities and limitaitons.  I personalize a program appropriate for them.  Some clients require a program that focuses more on corrective exercise. Working on muscle imbalance and flexibility is essential before moving onto a more aggresive work out. Some people progress quickly and for them I can create a conditioning program similar to a boot camp. Whatever the need or goal the individual has do my very best to personalize it at make it attainable. 

   I look forward to taking my skills and knowledge with me to a travel destination. A vacation, away from the stress of daily living, is perfect opportunity to help someone begin a path for healthy living.
