I began attending exercise classes in 1990 at a YMCA in Shreveport, Louisiana. At that time in my life I was struggling with Anorexia. I began allowing exercise and my faith to walk me out of that dark grave. I became passionate about health and fitness and became a group exercise instructor, teaching an array of classes from Body Sculpt to Senior Fitness. From that point, members of the fitness center began to ask me to train them, so I pursued my personal training certification. I moved to the Charlotte, NC area in 2007 and continued to train.
In August of 2013, I was asked to apply for the full-time Wellness Director position at the Harris YMCA, a 23,000 member community. I was selected and now hold that position. I continue to train members and teach a class for special populations.
Fitness has been my life and passion and I love helping others live to their fullest potential. Life is truly ONE BIG TRAINING SESSION! :)
