Kristin Lowry

Kristin was first introduced to Pilates when someone recommended it to her to help strengthen her core as a solution for low back pain.  She instantly fell in love with the practice and what it can do for the body, as well as the mind, so she continued on to receive her instructor certification. She teaches with slow movements and her approach and belief is that quality comes before quantity and that every movement should serve a purpose. She feels it's not just about performing the movement, but rather feeling what the movement does for the body and how we can benefit from it. Kristin loves to help others discover the amazing benefits of Pilates and help them practice the movements so that their bodies and minds can benefit from, and achieve the results they desire. Kristin has also done training in the Barre method which she incorporates into her Pilates practice. Not only can her students expect a good work out but they can also expect a warm smile and an instructor who really wants to be there for her students and help them with their fitness goals.

 

In addition to being a pilates instructor, she is also a certified cycling instructor. She makes it a point to stay on top of current music and spends her free time putting together classes that are choreographed to the music and the beat so members not only get a good cardio workout but also have fun feeling as if they are dancing on the bike.

 

Besides Pilates and spin, she loves yoga, traveling (especially to warm, beach destinations), spending time with her daughter, music and choreographing classes, and pushing herself to experience new things in life.
