Kim Davis is a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Elite Professional which is the highest testable level of certification. She has coached tennis for almost twenty years in Colorado Springs, including being the head coach of the USAF Academy Women’s Tennis program, Director of Tennis at Foothills Swim and Racquet Club, Head Professional for the Colorado Springs Park and Recreation Woodmen site, Vanguard High School Girls' Tennis Head Coach, and currently serves as Director of Tennis at Colorado Springs Country Club.

Kim grew up in Los Alamitos, CA where she was a high school tennis MVP and team captain. She was recruited to play at the USAF Academy and won two collegiate conference championships. She went on to serve in the Air Force as a KC-135 pilot flying in Desert Storm and Bosnia and competed on the Air Force tennis team winning Armed Forces doubles and singles championships. Kim returned to the USAF Academy as head women’s tennis coach where she worked with nationally ranked collegiate players and was awarded the women’s tennis conference coach of the year. Kim received her MA in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado during this time.

After Kim started a family, she moved into the Director of Tennis position at Foothills Swim and Racquet Club. She grew the program and was awarded the USPTA Intermountain Tennis Professional of the Year twice for her efforts. She started a thriving program at the nearby Park and Recreation Woodmen site where she has coached USTA teams from around the city in addition to the junior tennis program and Cardio Tennis offerings.

Kim is active in USPTA leadership having served as Intermountain Division President and on three national committees. She’s also the author of the Tennis Activity Book which was a USPTA World Conference best seller and one of the best-selling books of all time for the USPTA Pro Shop. She has two DVDs - Drills for Everyone and the USPTA Pro Shop top-seller Drills, Drills, Drills. Kim is also on the USPTA national speaker’s board and has presented at several world and division tennis conferences.

Kim truly loves teaching and playing tennis and has held #1 Colorado rankings in several divisions. She’s an active 5.0 player in both singles and doubles and currently plays on the Colorado Springs 5.0 women's team and 10.0 mixed team.
