My passion for health and fitness started back when I was in middle school--as someone who battled through childhood as an overweight kid, I knew that I wanted to lose weight before I entered junior high (puberty is hard enough, nevermind being overweight to boot!). From there, I purchased my first "exercise video" at Walmart (Cindy Crawford to be exact!) and the rest is history. After seeing how exercise transformed my body AND my life, I knew that exercise was something that I wanted to share with others. I obtained my first group exercise certification in college (AFAA) and started teaching my own classes shortly after. I am certified in a variety of different programs and formats and am an extremely well-rounded, experienced fitness professional. Currently, my main teaching specialties are Yoga, YogaSculpt, Advanced/Athletic Stretching, Core Training, and Bootcamp.
I work full-time as a Director of Marketing, so fitness is a part-time endeavor for me. However, one day, I would love to make it full-time! :) When I'm not teaching classes or working at my full-time job, I love to stay active and do things outside! Whether I'm practicing yoga, going for long walks or hikes with my husband and pup, kakaying or paddleboarding (to name a few), I have a very hard time sitting still! But lucky for my class participants, I LOVE fusing that athleticism into my classes:) My classes are simple, fun and intense--my goal is to make my participants feel welcomed, confident and safe. That's why I always provide beginner, intermediate and advanced modifications in all the classes I teach. That way, regardless of their fitness levels, they leave the class feeling like a smashing success!
I currently live in Pelham, New Hampshire with my husband, Mark, and our pup, Sparta:)
