I have always believed in staying fit through eating right and exercising and I have tried many different routines. However, my favorite routines always involve working with other people. I strongly believe that positive energy is created when you are around like minded people striving to achieve the same goals. This philosophy speaks directly to my idea of group fitness. I want to share my energy and enthusiasm with clients who trust your business to help them achieve their personal fitness goals.

I am currently a K-5 Science teacher in Brooklyn, NY. I have been praised for my high energy in the classroom and constant attention to building relationships with my scholars and our families. I believe that teaching is an art that can be applied to many different disciplines. My enthusiasm and active engagement will allow me to be a more invested fitness instructor. I am dedicated to earning the trust and loyalty of all my clients. I currently teach a Zumba class at the elementary school where I work. It is designed specifically for our families and employees.

I have been teaching dance classes for about 10 years to children and adults ranging from ages 5 to 50. My earliest experiences began when I volunteered to lead culturally enriching projects for neighborhood youth in my hometown of Chicago, IL. Through this 8 year experience I spent summers teaching and leading self-choreographed dance routines that were performed at local community events, parades and festivals. Since then I have recently taught Rhythm and Step classes to 3rd-5th graders and a dance aerobics class to help families become more active.

I wanted to learn more about the fitness aspect of dance and recreation. I pursued this goal by signing up for the Zumba Basic 1 Instructor class in my area. I am excited to merge my love of choreograph dance techniques to health and wellness. This experience qualifies me to work as an instructor and I am anxious to get started.  

I am very energetic and easy going. I have the skills to work with clients to teach them the techniques they need to get in shape. I have CPR certifications and I know when someone is pushing too hard. I understand that the safety of the clients is the number one priority. I am excited about the opportunity to join your fitness family. I look forward to speaking with you to discuss the position in the future.
