Tariq Mohammed

Tariq Mohammed was an award-winning squash coach with over 20 years of playing, teaching and administrative experience as a certified US Level 1 Coach and certifed Double-Goal Coach by the Positive Coaching Alliance. He was Head Coach for Girls and Boys Squash at Concord Academy, a private co-educational prepatory school for grades 9-12 located in historic Concord, Massachusetts. During the off-season, Tariq taught a PE class called "beginning squash" and guided students in co-educational intramural squash. He also coached recreational squash at Commonwealth School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Prior to joining CA, Tariq was a squash instructor at Phillips Academy Andover. In addition, he has coaching experience as an Associate Coach at Tufts University and Coaching Assistant at Harvard University. He has taught private lessons, clinics and camps to a broad spectrum of players both in the United States and abroad. A former #1 player at Bowdoin College and Maine State Champion, he co-captained the Men's team in 1999 to a national top-10 finish.

While working at CA, Tariq was a Project Manager with Complete Sports Solutions, a boutique sports marketing company that promoted life sports with a focus on squash. In 2006, Tariq was part o the team that staged the Super Series Squash Finals featuring the world's top 8 players at Broadgate Arena in London, England. He also served as the Technical Director of Complete Squash Camps at Harvard University.

At the grassroots level, Tariq was a founding member of Khelshala Inc., a 501cs nonprofit sport-based youth development program that encourages wellbeing through sport in the United States and India. He played a key role in securing multiple grants from United States Squash and Massachusetts Squash from programs in the United States. In India, Tariq helped establish the Khelshala Computer Learning Center with a grant from the State Bank of India to empower underprivileged children.

A naturalized American citizen, Tariq was born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and schooled in the United Kingdom, India and Saudi Arabia. Tariq earned his Masters in Education with a specialization in Physical Education and Coaching at Boston University in 2010.
