Amy Danielson

Amy holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree and a major in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. 

She has taught dance and dance-based workouts in NYC, Eastern Europe, & Los Angeles (including at Sheila Kelley’s S Factor for over 5 years).  She is trained in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary/lyrical, burlesque, and pole dance (Broadway Dance Center, Step’s On Broadway, Edge Performing Arts Center L.A.).

In 2006 she founded, Genesis: Sarajevo Dance Theatre, a non-profit organization working to spread dance and artistic opportunities throughout post-conflict and developing regions.  Since the start of the organization, she has produced 14 dance intensives and professional shows throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

As an actress and dancer, Amy recently performed with Magacin Kabare and was the company choreographer while living in Eastern Europe for over a year. 

She has choreographed music videos and live performances for various vocal artists.  Amy is the creator and co-choreographer of The Illicit Roost, a pop-up concept Femme Chic dance company in NYC.  The Illicit Roost will be making their debut in Paris 2014.

When in Paris Amy teaches Commercial Cabaret in Heels at Studio Harmonic.  She was recently offered a position as a Professeur de Danse at A.I.D. – Ecole du Spectacle in Paris teaching Femme Chic Dance.  Please visit for more info:  www.amy-danielson.com,  www.genesissarajevo.org, www.theillicitroost.com
