Worked in various roles prior to moving to springfield, mo in 2008 when my husband finished training as a physician. Became a stay at home mom of our two girls & found the only exercise I was consistent at doing was Pilates. When my instructor and friend was moving away, my fellow classmates asked me to become certified and take over class. I then had my third child & credit Pilates with my best pregnancy, delivery & recovery.
I truly enjoy teaching whether to just a few or a full room as my classes flux. My focus is proper form with verbal prompts throughout of mental reminders of. Trying to strengthen core to improve posture, flexibility, and balance. I talk new and experienced students through class prompting to decrease or increase intensity by listening to their body. Using primarily mat & own body to achieve, sometimes utilize exercise ball and light weights to enhance. Start standing up and move through poses with stretching & relaxing between and at end when work way down to lying on mat.
