Hi! I am Allison Smith and I am your new Personal Trainer. Together, we are going to help you discover your own inspiring self-motivational power. From this day forward… whatever you previously perceived impossible has suddenly become possible, because I believe in you.
I have always had a passion for fitness. I was a gymnast for 12 years and a collegiate cheerleader at GMU. I have a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Kinesiology (i.e. Exercise Science) and I became a certified Personal Trainer in 2007. I have worked with a variety of people and fitness goals including professional athletes (NFL, NBA, MLB, and Olympic track athletes), double leg amputees and wounded warriors, weight loss clients for the Washington Post Express Get Fit Challenge (in which my client lost 50 lbs in 12 weeks), rehabilitation clients post-injury, brides getting ready for their big day, my own church community that was looking to tone up and get healthier, elderly clients looking to prevent injuries and improve quality of life, and people that simply just want to tone up and get in better shape.
From my experience, I have learned one important fact… there is no magic pill to make us faster, stronger, or thinner! No matter what the goal may be, it all boils down to 70% nutrition, and 30% effective workouts that are customized to your individual needs. My job is to hold you accountable to the game plan, and motivate you along the way. Our program will be well-rounded and involve nutritional guidance, cardiovascular conditioning, program design specific to your goals, fine-tuning your exercise technique, and “prehab” for injury prevention. Not only will you look better, you will also feel better. We are going to raise your metabolism, melt away fat, and turn your body into a high-performance machine! Now let’s get started!
