Samantha Grant

I was born in Montreal Quebec to a French mother and British father. Both parents were classically trained ballet dancers and dance/music has been a part of my life since birth. I did not gravitate to ballet but I was able to enjoy Jazz and later Hip Hop as a means of dance expression. I became and actor thus my career demanded a wide range of physical requirements. I tried all activities and my special talents were equestrian and cross country and downhill skiing. Our lovely landscape allows for all kinds of outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, swimming and skating.  Through the years I have enjoyed many opportunities to further my yearnings for travel by working in situations that have made my adventures come true. I lived and worked in Europe for 6 years in the ski industry and skied in enviable mountain resorts on my vacations. I later returned to Canada and settled in Whistler B.C. I worked for Whislter Mountain and also had an sporting event management company specializing in winter/skiing events and Mountain Biking and mulit sport events (The Eco Challenge '96). Later when returning to the film industry I dabbled in off road driving and fulfilled a life long dream of a camping/off road driving safari in Africa (Namibia-Botwana-Zimbabwe). My thoughts have always been to start a family of my own and in 2005 my husband and I adopted a child and settled  close to his family in Alberta. I had taken Zumba classes and was encouraged by my teacher to certify. I have never looked back. Each day I have the joy of bringing dance and music from other countries with a fitness benefit to our part of the world. I am continuing with my acting career and my flexibility has enabled my to complete a feature film "Forbidden Playground" in which I play the lead role. I also work with the Canadian Army (Maple Resolve) training new soldiers in diplomacy when in foreign countries. I am hired as a role player (Spanish and French speaking) to act as a villager in the midst of a civil war situation. 

I feel blessed to have my family near me and have good health and energy. My passion for life and culture keeps me motivated to travel and enjoy the planet's abundance, it's people, and customs.
