Angie Perkins

I began my interest in fitness during college and graduate study. I found working out made me feel better physically and mentally. I worked out religiously for years, but never considered instructing until approached by several instructors. Since I would be new to the instruction portion of group exercise, I went through Bally Total Fitness, B-Fit University. This provided me intense, individual training with a standardized test as well as a teaching practical experience. To enhance my skills and knowledge, I later followed up with the American Council on Exercise Group Fitness exam. My students in class tell me they like the high-intensity of my classes and the fun nature. They enjoy using a variety of equipment and never having the same workout two classes in a row. While group fitness isn't my primary occupation, I do it because I enjoy it and I feel it's important for people to be encouraged working out.
