I came to yoga several years ago after being in a car accident and suffering from neck and back pain. During my personal practice that was able to heal my injuries I confirmed what I always suspected as a mental health provider - the importance of the mind-body connection and healing this connection can be. When I was able to implement this on a deeper level in my work with trauma, depression, and anxiety, I saw my clients have better results. This led me to obtain my 200 hour teaching certification and incorporate yoga and mindfulness work both into my therapy practice and into helping others find and/or deepen the mind-body connection on the mat.
