Bio For Kristen Herbert 2017
I have worked in the fitness industry for nearly 25 years as a group exercise professional and personal trainer. I absolutely love my job! I’ve taught most formats of group exercise, outdoor bootcamps, yoga, and I personal train part time. I emphasize the need for overall wellness. I feel it is important to cross train and bring a variety of different exercises in order to achieve optimal fitness. (e.i weight training, martial arts, dance, flexibility, balance, and nutrition) Watching people become healthier, stronger, and more confident with their bodies, inspires me to do what i do~ Plus it is so much fun!!!!
I have played a multiple number of sports, including collegiate soccer, high school volleyball, basketball, softball and track. I enjoy watching, coaching and cheering on my 3 grown children in their activities. (My husband and I still love to compete in any type of sport whenever we have a chance) My new interest in the last 5 years, has been outdoor fitness, mostly hiking and trekking. I am involved in and have been working with humanitarian organizations both locally and internationally. I lead adventure tours to trek Mt Kilimanjaro every chance I get. I am beyond excited for the possibility of sharing my passion for fitness with people all over the globe. I love to travel, I love to learn about other cultures and I love adventure. I have informally taught Zumba and yoga to my international friends and tour guides, they loved it and I immensely enjoyed showing them how to add fun fitness to their lives. I am so blessed to have great people around me at home, at the gym, and around the world.
