Claire Frechette

Movement and activity has always been important to me.  I grew up enjoying dance, tennis, ice skating, skiing, and soccer.  I never thought a career could come out of my favorite activities until I fell in love with Pilates in 2012.  I became Certified to instruct in 2013 while living as an expat in Singapore.  I had an opportunity to train at a very well established teacher training studio a block from my house and never looked back.  I returned home to Colorado in 2014, and started working professionally 3 months later.  We Moved to San Diego in 2016, and started work right away and found my dream job working at The Golden Door resort and spa.  I consider myself a professional substitute teacher now.  I teach new guests every week and have developed methods and choreography that is “hard but doable”. It is common for me to teach a newcomer next to an elite athlete in the same class. I am able to take weeks off from this job, that will allow my husband and I to travel more now that our youngest is getting ready for college.  This year I plan to add more certifications to my profile to round out my experience and provide more options to clients.
