I grew up on a small farm in Wisconsin. I grew up running on old dirt roads and shedding stress in corn fields. When it was approaching my senior year, the words that my father said stuck with me; " go to school and do something that you love, and work won't really be work". I loved sports in school. In fact, it's the one area that I excelled in. Winning a State Championship in basketball and setting the record for the most games played (and started) by a high school student, I had fitness and the adrenelin in my blood early on.
I did what my father said and went to the University of Minnesota for Kinesiology. I studied the body and it's movements. While in college I continued my fitness but moved from competative sports to independant sports like running and weight training.
After college, I worked at a medical clinic then lululemon where I adaped my love for yoga and the community of amazing people that surrounds yoga. I quickly went on and got certified in both Barre and Yoga Instructing and teach 3 days a week.
In addition to teaching yoga, I am a full time Health Coach at RedBrick Health based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My main goal is to help other people be healthier. I do this by motivating and educating.
It's true what my father said. I do what I love and I love my life.
