Alexis Williams

My love of human movement is what originally drew me to yoga over 8 years ago. I attended my first yoga class for the physicality, but quickly discovered that the benefits of yoga reach far beyond the physical. In more recent years, during times of personal struggle I would find myself turning to my mat.  It was there that I learned to find clarity, stillness, and most importantly, love and self-acceptance.  One of the miracles of yoga is its ability to stay with you when you leave the mat. My hope as an instructor is to pay forward the gift of yoga.

I earned my certification as a personal trainer in 2006 through The National Personal Training Institute in Orlando, Florida, at the 500-hour level and quickly found deep satisfaction in helping people heal through exercise.  In order to expand my knowledge of the field I am currently working toward certification through The National Academy of Sports Medicine.  In December of 2014 I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training and registered with The Yoga Alliance at the 200-level.

Perhaps you are coming to me for the physical benefits of yoga or personal training. Maybe you have been lead to me because your head and heart are seeking the sanctuary of a deeper spiritual practice. Whatever it is that you need, I look forward to you joining me on my journey as a yoga teacher and trainer!

I am fully insured and CPR/AED certified.
