I have had a passion for fitness my entire life. Growing up in Portland, OR, I participated in 4 sports a year and rowed Crew in college. After graduating with my Masters in Education, I began to work for the Army oversees (living in Germany, Norway, Japan and Italy), as a Director of their Child Development Centers and Youth Sports Programs. While living in Italy, my love for running grew and I began to compete with the Army Ten Miler Team. In 2008, I placed 2nd place overall in Europe and went on to run my first Marathon in Athens Greece, placing 16th place overall for females. Unfortunately my running career ended in injury in 2010. With determination, I began my next fitness love, CrossFit. I received my CrossFit Trainer certification in 2013 and have been teaching and competing ever since.
After 12 years working with youth, I decided to make a career change to Adult Sports in 2014 when I moved with my Active Duty husband to White Sands Missile Range, NM. Taking a year to study and complete a mentorship programs with Fitness Instructors who have been in the industry for 20+ years, I received certification from American College of Sports Medicine for Group Fitness and Personal Training, YogaFit and Indoor Cycling. I currently teach an average of 10 classes a week and love every second of it!! I have found my dream job, bringing my background in education and my passion for health/fitness to everyone that I have the pleasure of working with.
