I began my practice in 1997 taking classes in Iyengar yoga and quickly became interested in attending additional classes per week. Simultaneously, I was also taking pilates reformer semi-private sessions in NYC twice per week. I developed a strong interest in the human body & went on to take teacher training in Pilates Mat certification. After a few years I was encouraged by my yoga teacher to persue a teacher training intensive which I attended with Inyengar certified teacher at Yoga Institute of Miami in 2003. As my yoga experience began to develop I started teaching classes at Town Sports international, where I was already teaching Spinning classes. I quickly increased teaching additional yoga classes at other locations. Over the past few years I continually take workshops with several teachers in different yoga styles. I have also have taken a Yoga Fit certification to teach the Club Yoga program to Instructors at the TSI. I have taught yoga classes at a Yoga studio in Kingston, NJ. I teach classes at Rutgers University to both students and faculty both Yoga and Spinning. I have been teaching spin classes since 2000. I became interested in the spin program after several years of being a cyclist on the road. It was a great way to utilize my road experience in an indoor enviorment and also be creative with music and combining the two to create a class and motivate. I have had lots of fun with it.
