Southern Roots
I am from Tennessee. We moved to Raleigh in the summer of 2015. The main reason for our move was that we wanted our children to grow up in an area that valued both diversity and education. Raleigh was the answer to that wish, along with my husband taking a job of interest at Duke Raleigh Hospital. We have done our part to contribute to the Raleigh area's diversity, with our southern accents.
Grasshoppers
I have two kiddos who I often refer to as my grasshoppers. My son Brodie, currently a 5th grade, is my duplicate in regards to his energy level and being concerned about always doing the right thing. My daughter Ellie, currently in 1st grade, has a fantastic imagination, as well as her daddy's calm demeanor. My husband is my best friend and has the patience of Job and a genuine kindness about him. Once you have met my husband, you have found yourself a true friend in life.
My Heart
I absolutely LOVE people, like really love them. I feel like everyone needs someone. I feel that your community is clutch and our role is to be there to love others and support them. Everyone needs someone in their court.
Fitness
I am a group fitness instructor at 4-local gyms. I have loved fitness my entire life. I love taking the elements of teaching and applying them within the community through the format of fitness. I love people. I love showing people that they can achieve goals that they once felt were unreachable. I love building the sense of community at the local gyms I teach at. I feel that my job at the gym is to help people achieve heart health, a sense of confidence, and community. Everything in life is best in a community.
