I began my fitness journey when I was very young and started taking ballet lessons. I fell in love with the art form, but most of all, the way I felt following a class. My mind and body felt clear and calm. This feeling was addicting. I began filling my time with more exercise and forms of dance including Modern, and Tap as well as free weights and group exercise classes. I couldn't get enough. After I graduated from college and dance classes were hard to take part in as an adult, I felt a vacancy in my life. I desparetly wanted that feeling back and wanted to keep fitness in my life so I joined my first yoga studio. This is when I realized the wonderful effects that yoga could have on a person. Since then, I have remained active in yoga and pilates classes everywhere that I have lived.
I have a career in speech pathology and have been working in school systems for the past 8 years. Recently, I realized that not only could I be a teacher in a school system for children, but that I could also work with women and adults in their fitness goals and help them discover their passion for Yoga and Pilates. A certification in Pilates came to my city, and I felt the need to take part to see where this next part of my journey would lead me.
