Michael Pishioneri

Mike has been a physical therapist at Atlantic Physical Therapy since April 2003 and has spent time working at both the West and East offices. Mike grew up in Virginia Beach and is a graduate of Kempsville High School. While at Kempsville, he was a district champion wrestler, an All-State football running back, All Tidewater Football Player of the Year in 1994, and Virginia Beach Sports Club High School Athlete of the Year in 1994. In 1999, he earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University where he also competed in football and wrestling. Mike graduated from Old Dominion University physical therapy school in 2002 with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. While attending physical therapy school, he earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification to further his knowledge of sports medicine, exercise, and physical fitness. In May 2004, he was certified in Sportmetrics, the Cincinnati Sports Medicine ACL injury prevention program. He currently serves as the clinic’s Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) coordinator and the Clinical Coordinator of Continuing Education (CCCE). Mike is continuing his education at Virginia Commonwealth University in the transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy program with an estimated graduation of Fall ’09.
