I received my classical, New York-style Pilates certification through Master Instructor, Jill Cassady, and have been teaching since 2004. In addition to my Pilates certification, I am also a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Council of Strength and Fitness and completed a two-month training program with Equinox Training Fitness Academy. I have also completed my certification in The Melt Method, created by the renowned Myofascial release specialist Sue Hitzmann, and a Yogaworks’ 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification.
I strongly believe that fitness is essential to good health and positive state of mind.
Pilates has given me the confidence in moving on to other forms of exercise. I now know how to be more in tune with my body and mind and how to get the most out of any exercise routine I choose. I also feel my posture, and core strength has improved, diminishing my lower back pain.
I want to teach people how to be more mind/body conscious. Becoming more body aware through pilates will enable anyone to tone and strengthen the muscles we overlook while exercising, in turn helping to prevent injury.
I am inspired by people who put that extra effort and commitment into improving their lives and becoming healthier and happier through exercise.
