I discovered personal training through martial arts. I enrolled in Tai Kwon Do in my late twenties and loved it. I loved the competitive aspect as well as the discipline and all around feeling of being healthy and in cotrol of my body. Once I realized I had a passion for movent and strength I wanted to know all I could about the subjects. I enrolled in as many martial arts as I could from Krav Maga to Kenpo to boxing to Hagana. One of my instructors who became a close friend was also a personal trainer. He was asked to go on a road trip with one of his clients for the summer of 2005 and asked if I could step in and teach his boxing class and take some of his personal training clients. Since then I have continued to educate myself by reading at least one book a month on fitness. I now run a personal training facility in Culver City. We are priarily a Funciton Fitness faciltiy that works primarily with TRX, Kettlebells, Barbells and gymnastics. I've grown the business from the ground up and we are well into our 3rd year with no sign of slowing down. I believe fintess is less a choice as it is a necessity. I belive we are never too young or too old to start getting serious about the longevity of our bodies. My ultimate goal is to devlope a fitness style and approach that will help just about anyone live longer, stronger and as pain free as possible.
