Tammy Whitaker

As a former collegiate athlete Tammy has always been connected to the discipline of body awareness and internal focus. Following her collegiate athletic career, Tammy remained disciplined to physical fitness. She found yoga in 2005 as a way to relieve stress and build flexibility, but it wasn't until 2011, that Tammy says Ashtanga yoga found her. The practice of Ashtanga yoga not only transformed her physically, but awakened an unshakable sense of inner freedom. With a humble approach, fearless spirit, and genuine compassion, Tammy speaks from her own personal practice and teaches to aspire students to discover their yoga. Through intention, meditation, pranayama, and asana, she inspires students to move through the body and mind to connect to a deeper element of purpose. Classes aim to challenge students to release the chatter of the mind and to connect with the moving meditation of breath and asana, allowing the process of growth and exploration to live yoga on and off the mat.
