Susan Kung

Susan Kung studied modern dance and ballet at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a freshman in college, she appeared as a “dirty dancer” in the hit movie “Dirty Dancing”, staring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. After college, she taught high-low and step aerobics and body sculpting at the Smokey Mountain Pool and Racquet Club and at the Dancer’s Point in her hometown of Sylva, North Carolina. She went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin, where she is currently finishing a Ph.D. in Linguistics. When she’s not writing her dissertation or chasing after her 4-year-old son, she is teaching group exercise classes at the YMCA of Austin or at the University of Texas, where she also works as a personal trainer. And somehow she manages to find the time to train for and compete in various running, triathlon, and adventure races in and around Austin. Susan loves to exercise and she loves teaching people to love to exercise as much as she does.
