Claudia Fisher

My new fitness career began in the water. I first started as a water fitness participant at my local YMCA. Around the summer of 2005, I was asked if I would be interested in becoming an instructor. After a year of teaching water fitness, I began teaching a variety of land aerobics such as step and kickboxing. In December 2006, my local YMCA built a new cycling studio. There was a workshop held that I particpated in, so now I teach cycling as well. I teach 7+ classes at least 6 days a week and sub other classes often. I am proud to say that I am the only instructor at my YMCA that teach land, water, and cycling. I've been awarded the monthly Mission & Membership (M&M) Award in May 2007 and October 2013.  I have been selected to serve as a team captain in our yearly fitness challenge.

In October 2014, I aquired the Spinning Certification from Mad Dogg Athletics.  I currently hold a group ex certification provided by the Capital District YMCA.  I did hold an AFAA and AEA certification, but I am looking to renew those in the near future.  I continue to participate in workshops and conferences to keep my skills sharp.
