Fitness has always been a huge part of life growing up as a gymnast from the age of 2. As a gymnast I endured a shoulder and ankle injury and had to switch gears so I become a coach for another 10 years. I loved teaching but my body was yearning for more. That is when I found yoga. My body felt at home when I practiced, and my mind found calmness. After about 8 years of practicing yoga (2 of which I practiced using the same DVD), I decided to look into becoming an instructor but couldn't find the time or money as I was also focusing on completing a bachelor's degree in psychology. After graduation, I felt a bit empty so I picked back up my personal practice and quickly decided to embark on an immersion yoga teacher training in Belize. It was incredible, it was life changing, it was exactly what I had been yearning for. I completed my 200 hours on a second immersion trip to Mexico where we focused on building workshops and growing our meditation practice. These types of trips are key to being able to disconnect with the outside world and re-connect with yourself mentally, physically and spirtualy. THey allow you to lose yourself in the moments without responsibilities of everyday life, and offer something very unique that you didn't realize you needed until after the experience ends. I want to lead people on a personal journey in magical setting.
