My name is Emily Schultz. I am currently a Yoga, Pilates, Get On the Ball and Group Fitness Instructor for The Buffalo Athletic Club and Clarence Community Education. In addition, I do on-site fitness and health programs for corporations and schools.
In June 2006, I appeared on WNED's "B-Healthy for Life" television program, where I discussed the specific health benefits of a yoga workout. This program was aired throughout the Buffalo and Toronto areas.
I have been athletic and active my entire life, but I first began teaching yoga and pilates during the winter of 2004, after I underwent extensive training at The Buffalo Athletic Club. I frequently attend various yoga and fitness workshops throughout the Buffalo area, and I recently became a member of the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).
In addition to my fitness training, I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education. Aside from teaching fitness classes, I am a Psychology Instructor at several colleges in the Buffalo area. I would like to note that I am fascinated by the intergration of Health and Psychology, and I recently designed my own course titled, "Positive Psychology for Optimal Health."
In my spare time, I enjoy rollerblading, ice skating, skiing, reading, and attending concerts.
