- In 2001 I started my fitness profession. I started teaching while I was at college at Washington State University. I taught a variety of dance classes, including jazz, contemporary and hiphop. I soon recieved my certification in yoga (yogafit) and an in house pilates certification. When I graduated from college I started working at World Gym. There I taught a variety of classes, I received a certification in both Body Step and Body Flow while I was there. At that time I also got my personal training certification through NASM. I worked at three locations that were personal training studios. To keep up my teaching, I started teaching dance at a local dance studio. I taught jazz, contemporary and hiphop.
In 2010 I started teaching fitness classes at Fit for me. Again I teach a variety of classes including, kickboxing, hi/lo, barre, yoga, cardio strip, bootcamp, and HIIT. Four years later a position at Columbia Basin Community College presented itself, and now I am employed by CBC. There I teach Dance Aerobics, Strength Training and Kickboxing. I have increased my class load to include health, wellness and fitness academic classes.
