My name is Jill McClanahan and I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor in the Maryland area, outside of Washington DC. I teach various formats such as step, kickboxing, abdominal workouts,hula hoop and sculpting. I am always looking for creative ways to introduce new members to the fitness arena and reintroduce others that may have experienced aerobics before but have fallen off the fitness wagon. Teaching and assisting others in learning more about their bodies, how to move and function in a beneficial manner while using weights, a step or even their own body weight is exciting and exhiliarating to me. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy the people I meet and the lasting impressions they have on me. I revel in their experiences and hearing that while taking my class they have lost X number of pounds. Since becoming a Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer, I feel I have made a tremendous impact on my own life, the life of my family and my co workers.
And oh yes, let's not forget the music - it is always fun to hear the latest and funkiest grooves that will get a class moving to a point of not wanting to stop.
