- Amy Farahay
Amy Farahay, eRYT200, eRYT500 has been practicing and teaching yoga for over a decade. Amy first discovered yoga as a way to lose weight and to help her cope with an eating disorder. The practice soon became a passion that was followed by this overwhelming urge for self-discovery. She received her first yoga certification from Nancy Wile, with Yoga Education Institute in Los Angelus, CA. Upon completion of her first certification, she began to share her interpretation of this beautiful practice. The practice became a life style and the teaching became a tool that would soon take her on a journey that would lead her to finding GoYoga. Amy has been teaching yoga for 12 years. She received her 200 hour Power Yoga Teacher Training with GoYoga, and her 500 hour teacher training with Valerie Baltzer of Transcending Yoga and is heavily influenced by Bryan Kest. When she is teaching she provides a positive yet challenging space where her students are invited to take risks that have more meaningful lessons than what is happening on the mat. The strong foundation of her teachings is authentic to the way she lives her life. She believes that power yoga is much more then the physical practice, she encourages her students to listen to the voice within and to use that voice for the guidance they are seeking; both physically and mentally.
