Joanna found yoga in 2014 as a way to strengthen her body, relax, and rehabilitate past injuries as an athlete. As an energetic, fun-loving, upbeat NYC girl, Joanna treasures the importance of slowing down, being present, and finding balance. She believes in the mind/body/spirit connection of yoga and strives to share the calm, compassion, and self-acceptance within. Her passion to share the gifts of yoga led Joanna to earn her 200 hour registered yoga teacher training in Vinyasa Flow and Restorative yoga. She also holds certifications in Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga, SUP Yoga, Wall Yoga, and Reiki. Joanna's classes are rooted in dynamic athleticism, strength, and balance. She strives to combine alignment principles for proper technique and safety, creative playfulness in sequencing, and the nurturing and calming benefits of breath and meditation.
As a new mom, Joanna relied on yoga during her pregnancy to prepare herself for labor and delivery. In what she would describe as her transformative journey to motherhood, Joanna is eager to share her knowledge with other mamas on their prenatal and postpartum journeys. Her prenatal yoga classes will enhance the physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, and life. Joanna believes nothing is impossible; she encourages her students to explore their vast potential, live authentically, and BE FEARLESS both on and off the mat!
