Arminda tried her first yoga classes in 2000 but didn't quite "get" them, thinking that they were not physical enough and boring. She gave up on her practice soon thereafter.
It would take some deep soul searching during a tough phase in her life to come back to her yoga mat nearly ten years later. Her newfound practice both calmed and elevated her mood. She began studying with teachers who encouraged her to find her true self through dedicated practice. She believes that self-awareness and compassion for oneself and others are the true goals of yoga, not twisting into a pretzel. Her classes are energetic and and designed to be accessible for everyone, so long as they are able to breathe. She received her 200 hours vinyasa training from The Yoga Room and completed 50 hours of restorative training through Laughing Lotus.
