About Robin Cline:
I began practicing yoga regularly in 2005. First trying differing styles such as Bikram, Ashtanga and Hatha at studios in my hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, it was the Vinyasa style of yoga that most intrigued me. I solely focused on a practice that constituted the disciplines of Vinyasa: fluidity, strength and breath work. In 2013, I began studies to acheive my 200-Registered Yoga Teacher certification through Yoga Alliance. A year later I started teaching both adult and children's yoga classes at one of my favorite local studios, Yoga Patch. It was a great honor to teach classes where I also practiced.
I love teaching yoga to both adults and youth. In my adult classes I teach how I practice - strong, flowing and light-hearted! It is personally rewarding to receive compliments from students saying how much they loved the class after leading a more challenging practice.
Sharing yoga with kids at any age is such an rewarding experience for me, as well. It it rare in an adult class to have your students smiling and laughing with you mid-way through the sequence, but in a class with kids whether they are 2 years old or 17 years old, they engage with you on a different level. To see the accomplishment on their faces when they achieve a pose for the very first time such as crow or dancer, brings happiness and a feeling of accomplishment to them!
"Teaching has enabled me to connect deeper with my own yoga practice both on and off the mat. Not only must I maintain my asana practice but I must compose creative sequences for my students that will draw them to their mats week after week, helping them discover their strengths and internal power. Since teaching, I have developed a vegetarian diet congruent with the Ahimsa discipline as well as daily mediations."
I live in Kansas City, Missouri, with my husband, two darling daughters, my pug, Meili, and my cat, Ginger the Lion. I teach adult, kids and teen classes regularly at local studios and schools in the area. When I'm not on my yoga mat, you can find me cooking or baking (chocolate chip cookies are my fave!), knitting or relaxing with my family.
