Nora Harrison

Nora has owned a communications consulting firm for 20+ years (www.three60com.com), yet she still finds time to work out and teach fitness classes at least four days a week. Her combination life (corporate career + fitness professional) helps her understand her students better. They, too, look for fun, efficient, motivational workouts that enhance the rest of their day.

She has always been active. She became an AAFA-certified Group Exercise instructor in 2010. Her strong belief in cross training is reflected in the classes she is qualified to teach: Pilates, BodyWorks, Stretching, AquaFit, Boot Camp. She takes advantage of the master classes offered to instructors by her gym. In addition, she hikes regularly with her black Labrador, Rica.

Her career outside the gym translates directly to her fitness teaching. She coaches executives on body language, vocal skills and overall communications. Body language and good vocal skills are critical in cueing workout moves. Her corporate client list has included AT&T, Aramark, Microsoft and the Ford Family Foundation.

In high school Nora was an exchange student to Brazil. She speaks conversational Portuguese. ("It's rusty," she says, "but it improves when I hear a samba beat.")

Nora is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Redlands with a B.A. in communications, with a minor in theater/acting. She has a master's degree in English from the University of Sydney, Australia. In Sydney, she played basketball on the men's intramural team ("There was no women's team," she says.)
