What intially brought me into the fitness industry was my love for running and pursuit of reaching my personal best. The sport helped pay for my college degree, allowed me to travel, acted as therapy and allowed me to gain insight from some of the greatest endurance athletes and coaches in the world.
Through observation and training I was able to learn about many different ways of successfully training athletes to achieve their best. I was also able to dabble in triathlons upon graduation and learn from some of the greatest in that sport as well.Several years ago I became certified in personal training, group instructing and run coaching.Unfortunately during that time frame I learned a lot about the setbacks that trauma/PTSD can cause.I have had to reevaluate my own life to see where I can be better and healthier in my own everyday habits.
I am here as a fitness mentor to show people how they can improve their life through physical fitness may that be achieving their personal best, finishing their first race or using physical activity as a means of healing from trauma or as a social outlet. Ways I can help you:
- Training plans for endurance sports and strength improvement
- Coaching kids that are entering running for the first time
- Trauma recovery through exercise
- Fitness routines for busy working professionals
- Effective Cross-Training plans for the injured athletes
- Social/fun group classes: Circuit Training, Tabata,Cardio Ballet,ect.
- Consultation on putting on road races/fundraising events
- Advice on nutrition: controlling portion size, healthy recipes
- Evaluating what is holding you back and what other resources you may need
