I have been teaching group fitness for almost 25 years in various cities and fitness centres across Eastern Canada, having originally trained in group fitness at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. I currently teach at Movati in Ottawa. Movati is an athletic club with a wide range of group fitness classes of all genres.  I am certified by CanFitPro where I maintain an active annual license including CPR training. I also have Zumba certification. In addition, I am a licensed, practising physician in the Ottawa area.  I teach cardio and muscular strength and endurance classes (high and low impact cardio aerobics, step, 20/20/20, power bar bell, boot camp and high intensity interval training). I am particularly skilled at step aerobics, having taught beginner to advanced step classes over many years. I also enjoy recreational triathlons (sprint distance), running, tennis and swimming. What I love the most about teaching group fitness is the energy that comes from the participants and witnessing their personal growth in health and wellness through exercise.  As an individual with over two decades of experience in group fitness instruction, I teach with a warmth and personal ease that participants find welcoming and encouraging.
