Hired as interim Nutritionist for Weight to Change program. Helped run and organize the evening events, such as “replace this with that” and meal planning.  Currently still teaching Bootcamp classes.

 

YOUNG WORLD, MA                                                                                                                                                           August 2010 – Present

Teach Physical Education to a wide variety of populations of boys and girls in Grades PreK-8. Created and implemented the health curriculum for grades 5-8 at St. John’s in Attleboro. Substitute when needed at other area schools. I am assigned to two schools permanently

Supervisor – travel to and evaluate faculty contracted under Young World. Communicate with front office to ensure all standards are being met.

 

ATTLEBORO YMCA, MA                                                                                                                                                February 2009 –2013

Teach fitness classes, including Les Mills Body Pump, Body Attack, Step, Boot camp, and strength training, as well as personal training for individuals, for the Smallest Winner Program and TRX Suspension training.  Coordinated and ran the adult volleyball league. Organized a team for annual Spin a Thon.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE

Basketball Clinic: Facilitated clinic for town to help raise money and teach students the skills of basketball.

NELMS: National League of Middle Schools Conference. Proposed and presented at workshops (Dec. 3, 2001).

Student Leaders Club: Reorganized, advised, and coordinate the Middle School Student Leader’s Club for Physical Education. Organize meetings, fundraisers, and socials.

Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach: Coach 5th grade boys’ basketball team as well as Assisted and instruct girl’s varsity basketball team.

Assistant Girl’s Volleyball Coach: Assist and instruct girl’s JV and varsity volleyball team.

Intramural Program: Plan and supervise the spring Intramural after school program at Middle School.

Student Council: Helped organize and supervise Student Council exchange and Chaperoned Student Council Trips.

Field Day’s: Organized and facilitated the annual field day event for the entire school. Planning for 3 different schools

Year book Coordinator: Helped organize and assist students in developing student yearbook.

Soup ‘R’ Bowl – Annual event for St. Francis to raise donations for the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Students donate to shoot foul shots.

Activities and Interests

Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority: Standards Chairperson, Parliamentarian, Chairperson and VP of Programming and Ritual, Member of Ritual, Finance, Social, and Community Connections Committee.  Advisors Award and Greek Life Scholarship award.

                   

Activities: Triathlon competitions, Extreme Races, volleyball, basketball, Ice Hockey, hiking, biking, running, walking, skiing.

                                Recent races: Tough Mudder, Ocean Half Marathon, Mudderella and Run for your Lives. Also recently hiked Mt. Washington.  

Volunteer: Several volunteer positions held at St. John the Evangelist School, including breakfast with Santa, March Madness Tournament, Jingle Mingle, Field day, College party and more. St. Vincent De Paul Society.
