My name is Lauren Kubat and I have a love for fitness! Working out has always been an outlet for me. I started really getting into exercise when I was in college by attending group fitness classes. I loved the atmosphere of classes as well as guidance from the instructors.
While I was pregnant I decided that I didn't want to go back to my "normal" job after having the baby. I wanted to do what I enjoyed, have a flexible schedule, and encourage others to take care of themselves. That is when I decided to make my passion a reality and when I made the decision to get my group fitness certification as well as my personal training certification. While studying for my certifications, I continued to workout 5-6 days a week while I was pregnant. I earned my certifications about half way through my pregnancy and soon discovered that while teaching my very own group fitness classes, I had become an inspiration to others. Clients would say "If this pregnant lady can do it, so can I." I never viewed pregnancy as a limitation, but viewed it as a means to be creative when it came to designing workouts and realized how important modifications can be no matter what "barrier" an individual may have.
Having my son made me realize how amazing the human anatomy is and how the body can achieve what the mind believes. To me, it is very important to use encouraging words and affirmations while teaching my group fitness classes because some people need that extra boost of support in order to feel comfortable in their own skin. I create an environment that is a judge free zone. No matter what is going on in the lives of my attendees, they know they can always expect innovative exercises, upbeat music, and positive energy when they attend my classes.
