About Me:
I got involved with sports and fitness at a very young age. I started lifting at the age of 12 because I wanted to be exactly like my big brother and do exactly what my big brother did---and my big brother lifted weights. I fell in love with fitness from then on. The benefits I saw from following a fitness regimen at a young age were endless. My body started to transform from a chunky prepubescent teenage girl to a strong and lean woman.
It was the end of sophomore year in high school that I became truly passionate about my fitness. I started to really excel in sports and was the strongest girl on all my teams. I could run faster and jump higher than ever before. And I wanted to see what my body was truly capable of accomplishing.
I was blessed with a scholarship in Track and Field where I continued to learn more about my body and watch the transformations as I started to mature into a young woman. I had a strong understanding of how I got myself to where I was but I wanted to learn more. I decided to study Exercise Science where I could learn more about the body and human movement patterns---and apply what I was learning to help more people looking to transform their bodies into something more.
Upon graduation, I took a job at a Sport Performance facility where I interned earlier that spring. I worked with both male and female athletes of all ages. I was able to apply what I learned in school and over the years to help these athletes achieve their goals like I was able to. Nothing was more rewarding than programming for an athlete and watching them PR in an exercise or earn a scholarship to play their craft in college.
I chose to continue my education at Kent State University where I obtained my masters in Sport and Recreation Management. I then took at job with a Sport Performance facility in Stow where I worked for one year until landing a job with EFS Personal Training.
I worked at EFS Personal Training for a little over 3 years. I never thought personal training would be my passion but I have gained experience with one-on-one training sessions, small group training and group exercise. I learned to tailor a program to meet the needs of any client--weight loss, muscle building, strength, mobility, etc and have worked with clients ranging from age 9-85. I truly love making a difference in others lives.
After 3 years with EFS, I decided it was time for me to venture out on my own I started Evolution Sport Performance 2 years ago with one goal in mind—help as many people reach their fitness goals as possible. I have been able to use all my experience over the last 10 years to create a perfect business model to help all involved.
