I knew from the minute I read my first book that reading and writing was my passion because there was nothing else I'd rather do. Later in life I discovered the same desire for yoga, which I never knew would have such a profound impact on my life.
I studied English and Public Relations and have been working as a freelance writer for the past two years, writing for food and travel companies. I found yoga about five years ago when I was at a very confusing time in my life and needed a space where my mind could be still and I could focus on myself. My practice became more regular as I began to see the amazing effects it had on my mental, emotional and physical body.
Yoga was not only a part of my everyday life, it became an extension and a part of me. I wanted to get a better understanding of the foundations of yoga, so I went to India to study and it changed my life. My program was so diverse, learning Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha and Aerial practices. I finished my 200hr RYT, not expecting to want to necessarily teach, but just to become closer to my practice. By the end of my program I not only became more passionate about yoga, I realized that teaching yoga was my path.
My goal is to bring this yogic way of life to people around the world through teaching. It had inspired me in ways I couldn't have even imagined and I want to bring that gift to people every day.
