I have been practicing yoga all my life and began teaching it six years ago. I have been in the fitness industry for ten years now. I am certified in Vini Yoga through AFAA. I teach a variety of styles of yoga, depending on what my students need. A class can be more of a Vinyasa style class or more like a therapeutic yoga class where the props do more of the work. All my classes are taught at an intermediate level with modifications and progressions shown.
I currently teach at Willows Way, Inc. for Project H.E.A.R.T. a state funded program for mild to moderate mentally and physically challenged adults. I teach at Club Fitness, as well, teaching all levels, ages and sizes. I am also working on a 200hr teacher training course through Barefoot Yoga with Matthew Krepps. In September 2006 I am testing for my Primary Group Instructor Certification.
I have also been trained in Pilates and have taught pilates and piloga (pilates and yoga combined) classes.
At Club Fitness I have had the opportunity to teach professional athletes, including a St. Louis Rams football player, St. Louis Cardinal baseball player and a Kent State Basketball player.
I have been married for five years and I have a 14 month old little girl.
