As an Oregon Native, I grew up with a passion for vigorous outdoor activities and athletics. What started out as a love for skiing, hiking and adventure with my family, quickly transitioned into a year-long committment to competitive team sports.
Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I played on traveling soccer and baseball teams, often competing in tournaments throughout the United States. In high school, I was named first-team all state in both soccer and baseball and was offered an opportunity to play baseball at the University of Colorado. Always a committed student athlete, I was able to find a balance in college as a political science major and a starting pitcher for the baseball team.
Participation in team sports has created a long time interest in fitness, strength training and conditioning. As an avid skier, I have enjoyed alpine skiing at many of the the United State's premier resorts. I contiue to have a a love of running, hiking and backpacking in the mountaisns and regularly compete in the Rock n' Roll Marathon Series.
My regular fitness routine includes resistance training, bootcamp, running, hiking, cycling, yoga and a variety of group fitness classes.
I have significant experience as both a student and as a fitness teacher. For the past five years, I have been leading a group fitness class in South East DC. In this role, I orgnanize an 8 week bootcamp course for 25 students, helping people of all fitness level and ages reach their maximum potential.
My passion for life, fitness and spiritiual growth are abundent when I teach group fitness classes and I always try and get the best out of my students.
