I discovered yoga in 2005 as part of a typical gym membership – slotting yoga class in as one of a variety offered for fitness. I quickly realized yoga was more than just another gym class; that while practicing yoga is a great way to achieve physical fitness, even more importantly it results in health and wellness of the total self. My life literally changed through yoga, I was inspired to leave a successful but stressful executive corporate position to complete certification through the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2013 and then received RYT 200 Yoga Alliance Certification. I have since completed additional certified training focused on Mastery & Art of Assisting and Adjusting as well as Chair Yoga Teacher Training.
My teaching experience includes a variety of classes: Beginners/Basic, Gentle, Mindful Vinyasa Flow, Heated, Accessible Chair, Pre-Natal, Restorative, Yin and Guided Meditation. I feel blessed guiding yogis – new and experienced – in their practice and am honored to share classic yoga poses, philosophies, breathing and relaxation to promote calmness, reduce stress, achieve life-balance and connect to the quiet space within.
