My name is DeAnn Stanley and I reside in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I first started practicing yoga when I was a student in college. Yoga came in and out of my life with family, work and moving until about 15 years ago when I was at a point in my life where I had the time and ability to practice regularly. I have practiced and studied many types of hatha yoga, including vinyasa, bikram, ashtanga, yin, chair, senior, restorative and kids. I decided to take my study deeper by studying with YogaFit, Be Happy Yoga School and Kids Yogaverse. I received my RYT-200hr in 2014 and additional certificates in senior and kids yoga. I regularly teach chair, beginning and kids yoga at a local studio, through community education and public libraries. I have also volunteered taught yoga in schools and at a senior residental community. I enjoy yoga myself and enjoy sharing it with others.
My other job is as a print professional with a worldwide printing company. I have held various positions in my 30+ year tenure with the company. I also volunteer for and am the secretary on the Board of Directors of the Alvaton Fire Department. I am the parent of a 24 year old son with high functioning autism. We live together in the country with our two cats and german shepherd puppy. In addition to regularly practicing yoga, I also actively participate in fitness bootcamp, enjoy walking and jogging, cooking, reading, gardening and travel.
