Angel Bowlin

I was born on December 14, 1978 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  I grew up in Hulbert, Oklahoma inwhich I attended Hulbert Public Schools throughout my Sophomore year of high school.  I then transfered to Tahlequah High School where I graduated with my diploma. Throughout my life I have been very active in sports such as softball and basketball.  After high school, I attended Northeastern State University where I obtain my Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education.  It was during my college years where I developed a passion for fitness.  In 2002 I received my first Group Fitness Certificaiton and taught various formats of group fitness classes in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

After teaching in public schools for 3 years, I became a stay-at-home mom and wife.  During the next few years we moved to various locations for my previous husband's job.  I continued my fitness career throughout the moves.  Back in 2010, I moved back to Okmulgee, OK to make a new life for my son and I after a divorce.  It was then that I took a position at the Okmulgee County Family YMCA.  I began at the facility with teaching group fitness classes.  As time went on I transitioned to the role of Program Director.  This positoin dealt with many aspects such as overseeing youth sports, the fitness program, membership coordinating, manager of the aquatics park, and many more directive roles.  After seven years,  I resigned and am currently once again a full time mom and wife, and I also am an Independent Brand Promoter for Le-Vel.  My passion and desire for fitness has not changed.  I have recently obtained my ACE Group Fitness certificaiton, and will soon be teaching classes at a local health club.
